Brilliant location in pleasant surroundings, easy to get anywhere. And near alternative activities, and the golf course. The rooms with good view, an iron and showers. Plenty of perfect options for meal.
There was no pool.

Nice place to stay for a night, good spa. Try not to get a downstairs room facing cars/cars parked just a few feet away from your bedroom window!
Nothing, it's a really nice place. Just try to get an upstairs room/room not at the front.

The hotel was relaxed and friendly. A drink in the bar was pleasant sitting on the sofa reading the newspapers and the residents mature and professional types provided a feeling of comfortable security. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. Breakfast was one of the best I have had in my many hotel stays this past year. I was there for a convenient overnight stay for business purposes and will definately go back. Maybe one day, I might even get time for a half day off for a round here too.
Only that I was given a twin room as a single occupant, but this was not a concern enough to ask for a change of rooms. In fact it made it easier work wise to lay my paperwork out on the spare bed.

Room was clean, excellent facilities and very comfortable
This is a country club - the hotel business is very much secondary in their priorities and as such you feel 2nd class as a guest. I found the staff looked after members first, the members were arrogant and treated hotel guests as unwanted 'aliens'. The internet connection was so slow as to be unusable (pages failed to load). The place itself is very difficult to find - sat nav takes you to the airfield.
